Background
Born in Sui-no-Sato a year before the Doman occupation, Takame’s parents not knowing what was on the horizon traveled to Yanxia in hopes of a more eventful life. The peace they had for a year didn’t last of course, his father was conscripted and returned four years later brainwashed by the ideals of the Empire.It was this brainwashed man that raised Takame after his mother’s supposed death at Imperial hands. Takame was brought up to not question anything the Empire believed and to eventually become an accomplished fighted in its name. Questions against it or even about it were silenced, often violently, and disobedience was punished similarly. What years of this created was an angry adolescent Au Ra who later in life would lack much if any emotional capacity but would make an excellent soldier.When Takame’s father died to illness, his unit was moved under the jurisdiction of Jehtro nan Kesona (who took on the name Jed Kesi) and commanded Takame to accompany him in defection so he could act as a guardian for his young daughter Helena (or Hina Kesi) while his whims carried him across Hingashi.Taking on the Kesi surname, Takame grew close to the young, optimistic Hina like an older brother. Clinging to her and carrying out her every wish, venturing out into Othard, meeting the Miqo’te woman O’zhian who would become their best friend but never achieving independence.Some years later Takame began having strange dreams where a voice asked of him to hear, feel and think. A falling out between the trio and a vision of O’zhian’s past later, Takame did as the voice commanded. He thought for the first time about who he was and wanted to be and came up with no answer. It was this awakening that prompted him to venture out on his own to the land of Eorzea to seek out that answer and independence from his sister through adventuring.

- Takame is an aimless follower who yearns to find his identity and his purpose in life.
- He's stoic and pessimistic by nature but lies about it to avoid making people look at him with disdain and fear.
- He's extremely dependent with a bad case of impostor syndrome and thinks anyone else is more deserving of having the WOL's fame, but would never force the burden onto another.
- He is six feet of bad habits, and massive social pushover. He has no backbone and will jump off a cliff if someone asks him nicely enough (and he knows them).
- He's an extremely aggressive and violent fighter who loves a challenge and has an underlying bloodlust from his soldiering life that he will reveal to no one.
-His biggest fear is people being afraid of him and avoiding him.
- He's kind of a hot mess beneath the well-put together surface. But he will always go hard or go home, is endlessly loyal (to a fault since he's painfully Lawful Neutral), he had a good example in his adulthood, is patient, gentle and friendly, is he's mostly aware of his faults and wants to grow as a person.

Full Refs- He has the Echo and enhanced eyesight through it. With effort he can see through most glamours, and also see aether itself. This is in fact something inherited through his Azem.
- He's not a natural blonde, he began dyeing his hair to evade imperial detection as per his given orders but decided he liked the blonde look enough to keep it.
- He doesn't follow the Twelve, but his patron Deity is Azeyma.
- He has a lot of scars. The big one on his left is a burn from an explosion he was caught in. He's extremely apprehensive around Ceruleum as a result. As of Post-Endwalker he has three scars on his left eye that he covers with a bandana when around people he doesn't know.
- His biggest fear is people being afraid of him and running away because of it.
- His teeth are very sharp but he doesn't open his mouth enough to see them most of the time. Even when talking.
- One of his far back teeth is broken because of an unfortunate attempt at eating a Festival Candy Apple... so he doesn't really like sweets but he doesn't hate them.
- Prefers savory food, but will eat anything. Literally. He's too much of a pushover to deny anything. Yes, he ate the worms in Amh Araeng.
- He eats steak rare like a heathen.
- If it doesn't have to do with fighting or moving his body he's probably really terrible at it. He can't play any instruments, draw or craft because he's too heavy handed and Botany is tricky because he kills the plants by accident... He's very insecure about this but he has taken up fishing.
- And that said he's actually got a pretty nice, calming singing voice.
- He writes letters to his baby sister figures Hina and Zhian regularly. His Doman script looks like gorgeous calligraphy but his Eorzean handwriting is terrible chicken scratch.
- He really likes birds! And has a Hunting Hawk named Yuuko. She comes and goes.
